Yaiza has a program full of activities ready for August
Yaiza City Council already has the program of events ready for the month of August, which includes all the activities that will be carried out in the southern municipality during this month, among which are the Youth Week, the Fiestas de Playa Quemada and La Geria and the Cruise to Nado Sport Club of Puerto Calero.
The month of August in Yaiza begins with the Fiestas of Playa Quemada already in its equator but with the most outstanding activities pending celebration, such as the play back, the performance of the Los Salineros de La Hoya, children’s games and the verbena.
Then, on Monday 5, the Week of Youth begins, in which there will be multiple cultural activities aimed at young people, which will include a DJ Workshop and the performances of the humorist Kike Pérez and the Dj Javi Fajardo and Pedro Morales, among others many, whose dates and times are detailed in the agenda.
In the middle of the month the Festivities of La Caridad arrive in La Geria with the celebration of the Traditional Harvest with camels, on August 15, date on which the Solemn Function will also be celebrated, which will feature the performances of the Yaiza Choir the Rubicon Folk Group. On the previous night a canary stall with a plaster and several parrandas will animate the evening.
The Cruise to Nado Sports Club, scoring test for the Lanzarote Open Water Swimming Cup that will be held on Sunday 25, starting at 12:00 in Puerto Calero, will close the activities planned for this month of August in Yaiza.
