Three new courses to delve into the knowledge of the Lanzarote Craft

The Cabildo of Lanzarote has launched a new training program of three courses within the Artesanía Lanzarote program. This program aims to promote the island’s craftsmanship as the driving force of the local economy, as well as recovering and conserving the traditional trades of the Canary Islands.

In collaboration with the CACT, three new introductory courses will be carried out: Handicraft (palm), fabric decoration (cochineal dye) and weaving (loom) –

The courses will be given free of charge and after registration in three groups of eight people each. The first group will start from May 21 to 31, the second group will start the course from June 2 to 14, and the third course will be offered, predictably, from June 18 to 28, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday of 17 to 19 hours.

The inscriptions will open tomorrow, Monday, May 6. It will remain open until May 20 or until the quota of them is exhausted. Those interested should go in person to the Craft Area of ​​the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
