The sustainable tourism was the protagonist of a talk in the EUTL

The University School of Tourism of Lanzarote (EUTL) hosted a talk last week on sustainable tourism aimed at students and future tourism professionals that had the participation of the CEO of the Foreign Promotion Society of Lanzarote (SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote ), Héctor Fernández, and the director of the Observatory of the Biosphere Reserve, Aquilino Miguelez.

A meeting with third-year students of the Degree in Tourism of the subject Tourism and Sustainable Development, which analyzed the changes in recent years in the relationship of Unesco with associated entities and served to make an assessment on the three certifications, ‘Biosphere Reserve’, ‘Lanzarote Geopark and Chinijo Archipelago’ and ‘Biosphere Responsible Tourism’, discussed in depth from the perspective of sustainable tourism and hand in hand with these two experts in their respective fields and fields of professional competence.

The two speakers congratulated the management of the EUTL, headed by Eva Crespo, and the professor of the subject and promoter of the colloquium, Domingo Concepción, for the celebration of this meeting and for the opportunity offered to be able to share points of view, criteria and experience with young people who will soon hold, for the most part, responsibility for the future of tourism on the island.
