A new Performing Arts Festival lands on the island. It is called Escena Lanzarote and aims to bring some of the most internationally recognized artists of the moment to the island. The idea of Escena Lanzarote is to provide the Performing Arts with the natural settings that César Manrique created in the Culture and Tourism Art Centers.

The artistic proposals of the scenic creators will merge with the natural scenarios that César imagined as a symbiosis between Art and Nature between October 5 and March 29, 2020. It combines a selection of scenic proposals that range from theater to opera going through flamenco, circus, dance or jazz, among others.

The performances will be held in several places on the island such as the Jameos del Agua Auditorium, the Los Verdes Cave, the Peasant Monument and the International Museum of Contemporary Art-Castillo de San José.
