The ‘I Week of Mathematics’ will take place in Lanzarote next Monday

The island will host from February 11 to 17 the ‘I Week of Mathematics’. The initiative has been promoted by the Mercedes Medina Association and the Isaac Newton Canary Society of mathematics teachers. The objective is to provide teaching tools that improve the learning of mathematics in schools and also disseminate them among the public.

The Maths Week in Lanzarote and La Graciosa will bring together conferences, music and various workshops and activities related to mathematics, such as the Mathematical Komando initiative, with activities on the street, mathematical magic shows, games, puzzles and many more initiatives to be developed in educational centers and public spaces. These days will be presented this Thursday, February 7, at 11:30 am, in the Press Room of the Cabildo.

The challenge

Within this program highlights the IV National Puzzles Encounter that will be held in the IES Blas Cabrera Felipe Pavilion, with the challenge of assembling a puzzle of more than 40,000 pieces. For more information about the activities you can visit this link.
