The group from Lanzarote ‘Bosco Díaz Band’ presented its first album named ‘Conversion’
Last Friday, November 29, the concert presentation of the Bosco Díaz Band album entitled ‘Conversion’ took place in Taro de Tahíche, which contains two songs dedicated to César Manrique as a tribute on the occasion of the centenary of his birth.
‘Conversion’ is composed of ten instrumental jazz songs, first presented to the public in Taro de Tahíche. All the songs that make up the CD are original and have been created by musician Bosco Díaz. Among them are “Toys of the wind” and “Taro”, two works dedicated to César Manrique as a tribute for his centenary.
The band was born in 2017 to materialize the musical and compositional concerns of Bosco Díaz, music teacher, instrumentalist and composer, who has explored since its inception various fields of music. Thus, Díaz has gone through classical orchestras, pop-rock groups, chamber ensembles and other types of groupings until he reached this latest project in which, he explains, he wanted to highlight not only his instrumentalist facet but also , above all, the creator.
The band of the pianist and composer from Lanzarote Bosco Díaz is completed with four other musicians: Neftalí Robaina, tenor saxophone; Lucas de Mulder, electric guitar; Acorán Ramos, electric bass and Luis Mateo on drums.
The César Manrique Foundation, which has collaborated in the production of the CD, scheduled its presentation within the calendar of activities that it has been developing since April 24 on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of its founder.
