The European Mobility Week program starts in Tías

The municipality of Tías signed today the Letter of Accession to the European Mobility Week, for which it joins for the first time this initiative related to the promotion of sustainable mobility.
 
This week’s agenda began yesterday with the public presentation of the European initiative and the symbolic signature of the aforementioned Charter, whose signature had already been digitally formalized earlier this month.

The program continues this Wednesday at 7 pm at the Indieras Hall with the screening of the movie “Before it is late” by National Geographic and Oscar winner Leonardo di Caprio.

On Saturday, September 21, from 9 am to 1 pm there will be a walk along the coast of the municipality aimed at all audiences and guided by the biologist Domingo Concepción.

The week will end on Sunday, September 22, Day without a Car in the European Union, with the start at 11 hours in the Plaza de las Naciones for a walk and bike ride towards the Plaza del Varadero. The objective is to raise awareness about the positive impact on the health and environment of the habit of walking or cycling.
