‘The Cave of Women’, the latest work by director Armando Ravelo, premieres this Friday at Tías

The new work of the Bentejuí Project by the Gran Canarian director Armando Ravelo, which is called ‘La Cueva de las Mujeres’, will be premiered on the island of Lanzarote this Friday, January 11 at the Municipal Theater of Tías at 8:30 p.m.

La Cueva de las Mujeres tells the story of a group of Canarian women who, in the post-war period, maintained the custom of ancestral rites. Cloistered in that cave and considered witches, they tried to communicate with loved ones who were no longer there.

It is at this moment when a series of reactions that lead the story that deals with the always enigmatic witchcraft in Telde, municipality where the entire film has been shot.

The short film was shot last August. Under the direction of Ravelo, a group of actors led by the protagonist Sigrid Ojel, who gives life to Sagrario. Ravelo has also counted in the musical section with Navid Hejazi, who has been a member of Hans Zimmer’s team.

The film is produced by Las Hormigas Negras and Hanabi Productions. Participates, as a sponsor, the Tamaimos Canary Foundation, which finances the project through its Social Area.
