The tourist resort of Playa Blanca lived a new edition of its Book Fair, the eighth, where attendees could enjoy a new encounter literature in the Plaza del Carmen.

Books performances, children’s animation and workshops aimed at school children completed an edition that had as a great culmination the awards ceremony of the seventh edition of the Short Story Contest of Playa Blanca called by the Cultural Association Castillo del Águila and the City of Yaiza, with a special category of micro-stories dedicated to the popular poet of Las Breñas Víctor Fernández Gopar as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of his death in 2020.

Lovers of letters could see firsthand the last two works of Mayte Pozo and Miguel Aguerralde, authors closely linked to the cultural evolution of Yaiza through the writing workshops given to children and young people of the municipality.
