Bilbao hosts since Tuesday, the 16th, the exhibition ‘Manrique inédito’ about the Canarian artist César Manrique. The exhibition consists of 60 photographs taken by the artist’s personal friend, Linus G. Jauslin, over 20 years.

After the success of the exhibition in its first staging at the Convent of Santo Domingo where it was visited by more than 12,000 people, ‘Manrique Unpublished’ visits the peninsula for the first time.

The exhibition is curated by Carmensa de La Hoz and can be seen in the Yimby space of the Biscayan capital. The visiting hours will be from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm, and on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm, until August 3, free of charge.

The images that the exhibition gathers were selected from a total of about 2,000 negatives that Jauslin has at his home in Zürich. The snapshots group images taken in Lanzarote, Tenerife, Madrid or Berlin, summarizing the 20 years of friendship that Manrique and Jauslin maintained, since they met in the decade of the 70s of the last century during the inauguration of the Andromeda room of Lago Martiánez , until the death in 1992 of Manrique.
