‘Landscape: perspective, resource and conflict’ is the title of Urban Development Congress to be held in Lanzarote

On 24, 25 and 26 April, experts in planning and planning territorial and urban throughout the Canary Islands, which will be joined by relevant speakers from other parts of the State, will analyze in the Assembly Hall of the Cabildo of Lanzarote the latest news regulations of the administrative practice in matters of urban planning and land management and its impact on the landscape, its territorial dimension, its economic dimension and the conflicts that are generated.

The congress, which this year celebrates its eleventh edition, is held this year in Arrecife after touring several islands of the Canary archipelago in past editions. Coinciding with the centenary of the birth of César Manrique, ACADUR wanted to do “a well-deserved tribute to the career of the Lanzarote artist” and his influence and contributions in terms of urban planning and landscape in Lanzarote and the Canary Islands.

The Canarian Association of Urban Law was born in 2008 as a result of the concerns of a large group of professionals who decide to join efforts to create a non-profit entity that disseminates urbanism and the rules that regulate it. Formed by a multidisciplinary group of professionals, its aims include promoting knowledge of Urban Law, contributing to its improvement, as well as promoting the participation of society in planning processes and urban management in the Canary Islands.
