 In Exhibitions, News, Painting

Last Thursday, the pictorial exhibition ‘Diablo del fuego’ by German painter Christian Honerkamp was inaugurated and will remain exhibited at the House of Culture Benito Pérez Armas de Yaiza until October 31. It is a series of abstract dyes inspired by the volcanoes and the sea of Lanzarote.

The explosion of colors is characteristic in Honerkamp. It uses the technique of ink and acrylic on cardboard in the 77 works distributed in three rooms of the emblematic southern building where Christian Honerkamp has already exhibited three times during the last six years.

The colorful intensity of magma, the force evoked by volcanoes, as well as what the artist calls “hustle and bustle” of the seabed are reflected in his paintings. Christian Honerkamp has studies in fashion design and costumes and his professional career also accounts for his experience as a stylist in photography and film publicist.

The exhibition can be visited until October 31, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and also on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Yaiza invites you to consult all the cultural and leisure offer of the municipality in the Municipal Agenda of monthly circulation.
