[Gallery] Check the winners of the Open Fotosub Lanzarote Mar de Lava of this year

Since 2010 the Open Fotosub Lanzarote Mar de Lava has been the meeting point where lovers of nature, diving and photography, can enjoy their three passions in a unique competition. This year, the funds of Lanzarote hosted the tenth edition of the contest with an attractive prize of 2,000 euros for the winning couple plus a 7-day diving cruise around the Maldives.

For two days, the 18 teams of divers participating in this edition were photographing the spectacular seabeds of Lanzarote and La Graciosa in search of the image that would allow them to impose themselves in one of the different categories that make up the competition. Finally, the couple composed by Yeray Delgado and Abigail Martín conquered the first position of the X Fotosub Lanzarote Mar de Lava, which will allow them to enjoy the cruise on the Maldives and the cash prize for the winning team.

The pair composed by Sacha Lobenstein and Carlos González would occupy the second position, winning a cruise on the Red Sea and a cash prize of € 1,000, while the third place would be for the team consisting of Eladio Frías and Joana Pereira, who will enjoy prize of a 7-day stay in Baja California (Mexico) and € 600.

By categories, Eladio Frías and Joana Pereira also obtained the prize for the best macro and wildlife photo; Marc Giménez and Ana Clavero imposed themselves in the best model mode; Sacha Lobenstein and Carlos González received the prize for the best free photo, and the couple formed by Yeray Delgado and Abigail Martín, great winners of the night, also got the title for the best environment picture. Each team received a € 200 prize for winning in each category of photography.

Simultaneously, the winners of the competitions Lanzarote Georparque and Museo Atlántico were known, which were held in parallel. Pedro José Pérez won the Lanzarote Geopark competition with a spectacular image of the volcanic landscape of the island among the clouds, while Wojciech Dopierala did the same in the Atlantic Museum competition, with a magnificent snapshot in one of the underwater works of this unique museum located in the depths of the south of Lanzarote. Each prize consisted of € 800 in cash for the winners.

The tenth edition of the Open Fotosub Lanzarote Sea of ​​Lava had as important novelties; the opening of the exhibition ‘Lanzarote Submarina’ (information on it in this link) as well as the level of the prizes, whose amount amounted to 15,000 euros for the first time, which were distributed in trips, material and checks.
