The students and the teaching and educational community of the University School of Tourism of Lanzarote organized on the morning of yesterday, April 23, a special program of activities to commemorate the International Book Day. This set of events is part of the program that is being carried out this year by the University School of Tourism of Lanzarote on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.

On this day, several activities were carried out in order to promote reading among the students and the educational community of these two university centers on the island. Among others, a talk was held on the work ‘Traces: a journey through the archeology of Lanzarote’, by the teacher María Antonia Perera, and the screening of the audiovisual ‘Trailer Book Traces’, created by a group of students with the support from the EUTL faculty and made from reading the catalog of the exhibition Rastros, a sample that includes the most distinctive elements of the heritage of Lanzarote that are scattered throughout the island geography.

The event concluded with a concert of classical music by the Island Center for Musical Education (CIEM) of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, which, like every year, has also wanted to add to this commemoration of International Book Day.
