Guanire Performing Arts, company from Lanzarote, stars in the festival ‘Women with noses’
The cultural company from Lanzarote, Guanire Performing Arts, will be present at the Clown-Women’s International Meeting, ‘Women with noses,’ which will be held from April 4 to 7 at the Quetes Palace in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The work he will present, thanks to the artist and co-founder Marta Nistal, will be the only show of Canarian origin in this meeting organized by Timbiriqui Teatro and the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The poster of the festival has an international poster with representation of Brazil, Italy, Argentina and several places of the Spanish geography. All of them, women and clowns, vindicate the presence of women in the world of clown.
This cultural space, traditionally masculine, reclaims its place for the work of women and thus make visible and value their work.
Marta Nistal will premiere, for this occasion, the fifty minute format of ‘Mucho Bopopromiento’. It is a spectacle for all audiences, where humor is mixed with acrobatics in aerial fabrics. A poetic and ironic wager, where the protagonist faces a personal challenge: she has to overcome her great scenic panic. It is a story of personal improvement where the clown mixes with the acrobatics in the air.
Marta Nistal is a clown, actress and aerial acrobat trained in circus and theater schools in Barcelona, France and Switzerland who has worked in numerous European festivals, cabarets, circuses and theaters. In 2018 he decided to return to Lanzarote, where he created the family company Guanire Performing Arts.
