XIII Montaña de Gaida Folk Festival

The municipality of Tías has an appointment with folklore this weekend thanks to the celebration, on Saturday, September 21 at 9 pm at the Municipal Theater of Tías, of the XIII Mountain Festival of Gaida, which will gather all lovers of the music, dance and traditions of the archipelago.

This year’s edition, under the title “Working traditions”, will be attended by the folk group Labrantes de Arucas, who will come from Gran Canaria to offer a wide musical repertoire related to the traditions of the neighboring island.

The folk group Gaida, by Tías, will also perform, whose components will show a traditional scenography with typical and period clothing that will give colors to the notes of the people of Malaga, seguidillas, sorondongos or folías.

The festival aims to show the traditional musical identity of the municipality of Tías and the entire archipelago.
