The Municipal Theater of Tías will host this weekend the performance of the musical ‘Evita’, on Friday and Saturday at 9:00 p.m. The tickets have been put up for sale in advance at a price of 20 euros at the BP gas stations of Valterra and PCAN de Tías. Tickets at the box office will cost 22 euros.

The representation will be carried out by the company Chéspir who have opted on this occasion for one of the masterpieces of the composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and the lyricist Tim Rice, ‘Evita’.

The composition narrates in a free way the life of the former wife of Argentine President Juan Domingo Perón, considered by his countrymen spiritual leader of the country and that will be interpreted by Gloria Sepúlveda. Accompany the protagonist José Manuel Clar, stage director, who will give life to the narrator of the story in a recreation of Che Guevara, and Jerobam Tejera, who will voice to General Perón. In addition, there is a choir of 25 voices, directed by Javier Clar, and a dance corps, with the choreographer Reinier Alfonso at the helm.

The orchestra, composed of ten musicians, is directed by Mauro Fariña, who describes a score “harmonious and melodically very complicated, which makes it so rich at the same time”. In addition, the company has expressly looked after the costumes worn by the artists, especially the protagonist, who has a dozen changes in the 22 scenes in which she appears. The assembly of lights is carried out by Shelma Zebensuí.

The components of Chéspir have been rehearsing for months, voices, choreography and set design in what they consider one of the biggest bets of their journey, which has already been nine years in the theater and musical panorama of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands.
