‘Mulibieris. Masters of the Ospedale della Pietá ‘- Baroque Orchestra of Tenerife

Heiress of the formidable degree of maturity acquired by Spanish ancient music and as a result of the rise and quality of interpretive groups with historical instruments and styles, the Baroque Orchestra of Tenerife was born in 2017 with the intention of promoting our young educated performers in Europe in vintage styles and instruments, bringing new audiences closer to all musical forms of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Mulieribus pays tribute to the performers of the Ospedale della Pietá in Venice and the teachers who, during the Baroque period, built a better world with Music. The Venice of the Baroque was a cosmopolitan city, full of contrasts and great social differences. The charities helped support the demographic weight, balance the social balance and contain Western culture through education, crafts, crafts and labor. Among the four main Venetian hospices of that period, was the Ospedale della Pietá, where one of the great “conservatories” of Music of the Europe of that time was formed.

A good example of the excellent technical ability and mastery of the Italian style of the female performers educated in the Pietá are the works chosen for this evening – composed ex profeso for them – that demonstrate the egregious laboratory of the interpretive and accurate magnitude of Italian music of the moment
