World Oral Narration Day is celebrated every March 20. The Network of Arrecife Libraries organizes around this day the Meeting of Oral Narration that this year celebrates the thirteenth edition.

This year the festival will offer the stories and workshops of Mon Peraza, Aarón and Vicky and Esther María Acosta Bernal, from March 21 to 23. These activities are free and open access, with prior registration at bibliotecacentral@arrecife.es.

The ‘Conversations with the death’ of the musician Aaron and the narrator Vicky will open the XIII Encuentros de Narración oral de Arrecife, on March 21 at 8 pm at the House of Culture “Agustín de la Hoz”, open to adult audiences.

On Friday 22nd at 4:30 p.m., the children’s and parent’s workshops will begin at the Civic Center of Arrecife. From 6.30 pm, in that same cultural space, Vicki and Aaron repeat their music stories.

The festival will close on Saturday 23 with an afternoon session that will offer the workshop Mon Peraza, ‘Lectulia’, where adults can learn about reading tools and combining them with crafts. It will be from 16:30 in the Civic Center. Then, around 6 pm, the Canarian storyteller will offer a session of oral narration for families, under the title “Manoseando las historias”.
